Spiritual FiBS-Pedagogy
The spiritual FiBS pedagogy sets important accents in the educational landscape and promotes the holistic development of all aspects of the human being – physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, artistically and spiritually.
FiBS has developed a reform pedagogical concept that meets nowadays demands placed on children and young people in education and school. It incorporates the higher values of life, such as an ethical and moral way of life, nobleness of the heart and the development of spiritual awareness. The core and essence of true education is intercultural and interreligious education.
Through FiBS-Pedagogy, we want to help spread the message of love for peaceful coexistence in the world, which is the basis of spirituality. Interest in spirituality is constantly increasing as people search for the meaning of life.
Spirituality is the science through which the higher consciousness in man is unfolded to understand the working of the divine plan.
Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power.
We have guided missiles and misguided men.
Martin Luther King
We are living in a time of great change and transformation processes that the entire human race is going through, including the school system. The current educational system reveals more and more its limitations in dealing with today’s enormous challenges.
Our fast-paced, globally interconnected and technologically advanced world requires a spiritual and ethical education, a great sense of responsibility and social skills combined with emotional competence in order to be able to cope with the challenges and difficulties of life.

New values
Kids and young people are looking for meaning and direction in their lives. However, in a world that is changing faster than ever before, teachers, educators and parents are often overwhelmed when it comes to teaching children a value system based on honesty, non-violence, appreciation, a sense of community and love that strengthens their self-esteem and confidence.
Kids and young people need a counterbalance to the rapidly increasing flood of information and stimuli – such as smartphones, the internet, computers, television…, which deprives them of the natural, carefree part of their childhood.
They can no longer adequately process the flood of external information, as they cannot intervene in the actions, but can only observe the external events. As a result, they develop a feeling of fear and helplessness, of being at the mercy of others, impatience and boredom. They lack the development of their own strengths.
Children should discover their natural talents for themselves and bring them into the community. Then they can experience the wonder of life, its diversity and dynamism.
We need to respect children and young people in their personality, treat them regardful and accompany them lovingly and helpfully on their developmental path and consistently take their individual needs into account.

Pedagogical guiding principles
The spiritual FiBS-Pedagogy offers high-quality teacher training and further education based on ethical values with the aim of achieving more respect, mindfulness, appreciation and heart-to-heart communication between teachers and pupils and within the teaching staff. This significantly improves the quality of teaching and the school community, increases learning efficiency and makes social behavior more harmonious.
Teachers and educators have a great responsibility and it is their job to teach children and young people to make decisions about what is right and wrong, true and untrue, good and evil. By ‘right’ we mean everything what makes us a better person and what helps us to contribute in transforming this world into a place of peace, harmony and loving community.
If we want children to become exemplary personalities, we must first become exemplary teachers and parents. The impressions we pass on have a great influence on children.
We should rather tell them that differences are part of creation, just as there are different flowers in nature. We should therefore accept all the differences between people, respect them and be grateful for them. Life is a gift; it is a divine wonder.
Children need time and peace to go into silence and meditate. This creates a spiritual awareness that helps them to develop love for all and to realize that the divine light is already within all people. Through daily meditation in the school, a peaceful atmosphere is created for teachers and students that is immediately noticeable.
The spiritual FiBS-Pedagogy should be like a shining star for everyone,
lead the way as a pioneering example and change people’s consciousness.

“For me, there is such great wisdom and knowledge in the children that always touches me deeply. If we are able to maintain their perfection for as long as possible and believe in this perfection, then the children can develop and grow their own abilities with self-confidence. We can give them a lot in this respect if parents and teachers are aware of their role model function and fulfill this function themselves every day.
We need to keep children’s curiosity and interest alive. They are eager to learn and enthusiastic in every respect. Then we will have content and happy children.”
Sieglinde Mühlberger
It is a loving and peaceful togetherness,
which makes children’s eyes sparkling.
